The Big Apple!

So, I kept thinking to myself, Kristen! You have to blog soon!  It's been like forever since you have posted anything! And I told myself, Okay! I will go out and take pictures tomorrow!  Well, there is a slight problemo with that.

1. I can't drive.

2. I can't drive.
3. I can't drive.

I wonder if you have noticed the problem...?  You might not recognize how many places you are able to go with vehicle accessibility.  Currently I am in Drivers Ed for the Summer, and have a slight chance to be able to drive by the end of the Summer. I am looking forward to driving!  Drivers Ed has instilled a new respect for driving.  It's definitely not something to take advantage of. But for now, I have a bike :)  and that works for me!

Anyways, for this post I was planning to ride my bike around the neighborhood to see what I could find when all of the sudden it dawned on me.  THE CITY! I took pictures when we went to the city!  New York City that is!  But these are not the bright-lighted, crowded/ mobbed, Times Square photos everyone sees and automatically thinks that is all New York City is. No.  I mean that is definitely parts of the city, but that happens to be what most people think of, all they think of, when they talk about NYC.  My friend and I went to Little Italy, and Chinatown.  Parts of New York City with the richest culture, most diverse people, and some of the best tasting food that has ever been known to man.  Here are some pictures from our trip!

I am starting to capture people without them knowing...I feel like a spy lol

Right out of Penn Station it was SO hot that day we grabbed a cab

For all those dance lovers like myself, you should freak out when you see this.

See what I mean?  I am like a photography spy!  But seriously the "spy" pictures I take are just so cool 'cause the people are just so natural.

Glad not to be run over, I literally just stopped in the middle of the road.... probably not the smartest thing.....

 FERRARA'S! Ohmygosh. Best Italian bakery.

Mom: "Okay, just get what you want!"
Me: "You want me to get everything...?"

See that man?  Yeah, that's the general reaction to this counter.  How do you pick?!

Thought this was the coolest/strangest/weirdest building I have seen yet.  Those gold sculptures are people.  Anyone know what they are there for?

Overall it was a fantastic day.  We got to eat good food, shopped around in little shops, and almost died of heat/ humidity haha (it was pretty hot that day though).  New York is an amazing experience.  I forget how lucky I am to live so close.  People wait their lives to come and visit this place, and I can see why.

Lots of Love~
Kristen
